- The idea is a very good one, and I was skeptic about including a ZIP drive
- until I read this. I especially liked the part of using it in low-end Amiga's
- to replace the HD (only to safe costs) and the floppy-drive.
-
- There's one problem though, floppy-disks are all but extinct, I would still
- need to be able to read those so a cheap DD drive has to be included (for the
- high-end that is).
-
- I hope AT atleast considers this. A machine with no HD would be much more
- usable if it had a Zip drive as standard. And games would no longer be limited
- by about 4-5 MB and the amount of disk-swaping needed.
-
- So, how expensive are ZIP drives anyway, and what does a medium cost? Any idea
- what these things will cost in 1997 when the PowerAmiga is supposed to arrive?
